ABOUT ME

Ashley Stansbury is a professional makeup artist in Los Angeles who began perfecting her craft over a decade ago. She was introduced to the art of makeup and it’s application in a retail environment and her experience now ranges from print to theater and film.

As a child in Amarillo, Texas Ashley’s mother taught her not only the value of makeup but the beauty it was capable of creating. Throughout college, she undertook positions with several makeup counters at Nordstrom while completing her B.A. in Theater Arts from the University of North Texas. During this time, Ashley was honing her expertise as the makeup designer for numerous student theater and film productions.

Recently, Ashley relocated to Los Angeles to further her education. She attended The Make-up Designory and studied all disciplines from beauty to special effects makeup. In her spare time, she collaborates on free-lance projects to enhance her skills. 

In the future, Ashley will harness her artistic prowess to concentrate on special effects. She will utilize her unique vision and prodigious imagination to create characters in special effects laboratories for theater, television, and film.
